Believe in Tandu - Collection of Ayla & DJ Tandu tracks 1997-2001
I made this mix more than 20 years ago for my own enjoyment. It contains some of my favourite tunes by the melodic trance wizard of the late 90's, Ingo Kunzi, best known for his remixes under the alias of DJ Tandu and the major part of the legendary Ayla project.
This is not neccessarily a "best of" collection - but rather tunes that I, at the time, felt I could mix together without knowing anything about beat matching or fancy stuff like that.

In 2004, Ingo Kunzi delivered one of his last (to date) DJ Tandu production/remixes and it contains both a slice of heaven aswell as a good deal of hell. Influences from his beautiful remix of Lange's "I Believe" is prominent in the break, yet it takes on a totally different and darker edge from halfway through till the end.

Still don'\t get why Ferry Corsten isn't as big as Tiesto. He actually stick to the good old tunes.
In my opinion I think Ferry is like Steve Helstrip, the money is obviously important but I think the sound is more.important to them. Tiesto just likes the money. And the fact he didn't solely produce some of his biggest tunes takes away some of his late 90s credibility. For me.

Starlight is amazing! Great choice for last track. It didn't seem to get much attention from other DJs but ever since I heard FC play this on a BBC radio 1 promo mix in 1999 I've always come back to it. Somehow one of the standard Samsung ringtones reminds me of it.......this cannot be unheard.....i just hope it doesn't ruin the track :p
When ferry stood in for Jules, that's when I first heard it too! I had the first 90 minutes on a C90 and it hardly ever left my Walkman. If you Google it you can download the whole set for free. The voca for Starlightl is pure trance cheese but it doesn't detract from the frankly incredible bass line and main lead sound.

Vadå det var inte armins mashup? Vem bryr sig vem som gjorde mashupen, den var skti endå och försörde låten totalt. Han mixar=hans ansvar att inte förstöra.
